Seeding Joy: Black Unicorns and How To Ride Them

  • Philadelphia Museum of Art 2600 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy Philadelphia, PA 19130 Philadelphia, PA (map)

Black Unicorns and how to ride them: An interactive workshop that considers magical realism as an escape route from despair. We will make a communal work of art that references Noah Davis’ painting, 40 acres and a unicorn, and Audre Lorde’s poem, Black Unicorn.  Working from a provoking selection of essential questions, we will write, draw, erase and/or paint our way towards freedom.

RSVP is required for free museum admission and parking, please register here.
