Sojourner facilitating January’s Workshop
Join us for our monthly workshop at the Dornsife Center for Neighborhood!
Poet, artist, and audio storyteller, Sojourner Ahebee archives moments of intimacy between Black women – modeling what intimate care and witness can look like for all of us. Leaning on Alexis Pauline Gumbs’ idea of ‘Black feminist breathing’, Sojourner will invite participants to generate new approaches to living, developing, and striving in unstable times.
The February workshop will focus on themes of captivity, strategic social organizing, and interspecies collaboration. Participants will generate original guides and meditations for breathing through the unbreathable.
Free and open to all, with community dinner immediately following.
