Drexel PEN Society is the only undergraduate chapter of PEN America in North America. We are a community of writers who share work and defend free expression. Students, staff, faculty and community members are welcome to join or attend!

University of Cambridge, PhD student and former “Lost Boy” of Sudan Peter Biar Ajak received political asylum in early 2000 to Philadelphia. He attended high school and college in Philadelphia. He was arrested in August on a trip to South Sudan for expressing disapproval toward the S. Sudanese government. Join us as we write letters to senators and congressman and bring awareness of Peter’s case to the general public.

An open mic will follow! Come and share your poetry or short prose pieces with a warm, nurturing audience!
